Impactasia wins Finnair Hong Kong and Southern China

HONG KONG - Finnair, Finland's largest airline and flag carrier, has appointed independent public relations agency Impactasia for the Southern China and Hong Kong markets following a pitch.

Impactasia wins Finnair Hong Kong and Southern China
Finnair has traditionally handled all its marketing internally through the head office in Helsinki.

Impactasia will initially focus on Finnair’s new route from Hong Kong to Helsinki, then other fast connections the airline services in more than sixty other locations across Europe. PR efforts will mainly focus on Hong Kong and Shenzhen.

Impactasia is set to take over Finnair's current marketing campaign that launched last week in Hong Kong. The promotion is based on the night flight service to Helsinki, allowing visitors to reach the country in the afternoon of the next day.

The marketing campaign is said to have been delayed due to the latest volcanic eruption incident in Europe.

Jonne Lehtioksa, sales director of Hong Kong and Australia at Finnair, said: “We chose to work with Impactasia because of their reputation in the industry and because of their ability to help us not only strategically build our brand as we expand our routes in Asia but also with the tactical promotion of key routes.”

Finnair adds to Impactasia's large hospitability client portfolio which also includes Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Sofitel Luxury Hotels, Welcome to Yorkshire and Crystal Cruises.
