INDIA - IPG Mediabrands has acquired Interactive Avenues, an independent full-service digital agency with 200 employees across offices in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore.

Interactive Avenues will sit alongside Reprise Media within the group's Mediabrands Audience Platform (MAP) offering. Its presence will allow the group to speed up the launch of specialised marketing services platform Cadreon in India, and will contribute its capabilities in creative, production and digital content.

Amardeep Singh, co-founder of Interactive Avenues, will lead MAP as CEO of India.

“After a dream run of seven years, we are ready for our next phase of growth," Singh said. IPG Mediabrands is the right partner for that next chapter, he added, because the group offered global clients in India and beyond. "There are exciting times ahead with our plans to develop and launch MAP’s specialist offerings Cadreon, Spring Creek Group and Ansible in India,” he said.

The acquisition and integration of Interactive Avenues into MAP India will have no impact on the day-to-day running of the agency, he said. Interactive Avenues will continue to operate independently under the MAP structure.

“India is a key market for IPG Mediabrands and for IPG as a whole," said Matt Seiler, global CEO of IPG Mediabrands. "We believe India is one of the fastest growing and most important global markets. Interactive Avenues has a fantastic track record in India and a great future as a part of IPG Mediabrands.”
