Prieto will be leading the entire WPP's team Colgate on integrated marketing campaigns. Previously, Prieto was only managing the Colgate client for East Asia. He will report directly to Steve Forcione, WPP's global managing partner on the Colgate account, based in New York.

Colgate is currently under MEC, Agenda and Y&R Retail among other WPP servicing agencies.

"The oral care category is faced with a challenge and opportunity to continue to spread consumption of oral care products to hundreds of millions of consumers for whom brushing and other oral health care habits are not well ingrained yet," Prieto explains. "As such, it's important to focus on the therapeutic benefits of usage and to offer products across a range of price points to appeal to all Asian consumers."
