Campaign was told the size of the stake and the sum of the acquisition could not be publicly disclosed for compliance reasons.

Founded in 2003 and based in Beijing, A4A’s offering includes digital strategy, social media communication strategy, rich media, online advertising, search marketing, e-marketing, and media investment management. The company employs 80 people servicing clients that include Nokia, Audi, Lenovo and Mamibuy.

Commenting on the acquisition, Donald Chan, CEO of JWT China said, “A4A is a strong addition to JWT China’s portfolio of top-notch marketing solutions".

Tony Wang, general manager of A4A added that his agency was “dedicated to creating ROI in interactive marketing" and was "eager to help bring China’s digital marketing to another level”.

Chan previously revealed that JWT clients are spending more on digital thinking in integrated campaigns, and are requesting the agency to tackle the social media space more.

According to him, what’s scarce in the digital marketing field in China are objective measurement tools and interactive-experiences planners.
