Creative agency DraftFCB Hong Kong, which won the KMB business in April, has created a character called Brother Bus for this project with the help of Hong Kong illustrator Yeung Hok Tak.

"I live on the Kowloon side and have always travelled with KMB, since I was a kid," said Tak. The series of five animated television commercials is styled with local culture and colours. The full commercial series can be viewed via the KMB website.

This project is part of a bigger drive titled ‘Traveling hand in hand' to drive awareness of the company's environmental commitment, safety and customer care. The commercials are titled Recycling Water, Euro V Diesel, Regular Check-up, Service from the Heart and Bus Captain Training.

The campaign is also running through mobile television channel Roadshow in Hong Kong.
