Borelli will oversee the office and partner key clients such as Unilever, Nestle, Johnson & Johnson, Vinamilk, Total Lubricants, Pernod Ricard, Intel and Cathay Pacific. He has previously overseen international brands, including Coca-Cola, Motorola, Mercedes Benz and IBM.
He took over the position from Vikas Mehta, who was recently appointed as the regional growth officer. Mehta had held the position for three years and will eventually be based in Singapore.
Rupen Desai, president at Lowe Asia Pacific, commented on Borelli's appointment, “Vietnam has grown to be one of our star offices under Vikas – whether we look at the growth, the product, its effectiveness or the brands we partner. Our search for the right leader to replace him led us to Michel, in whom we've found the right mix of ambition and experience that is needed for taking Lowe Vietnam even further.”
Borelli, meanwhile, said: “It is a real honour to be joining Lowe & Partners at such an exciting time in the company's growth. The challenge of serving the complex strategic needs of our clients across multiple disciplines and platforms is a tremendous one that I greatly look forward to taking on.”
