McCann Beijing MD Eliot Lin reportedly resigns

BEIJING - Eliot Lin (林佳誠), MD of McCann Beijing, is tipped to have resigned from the agency, according to multiple sources.

A source close to the situation said Eliot’s two-year contract with McCann Beijing is set to end this summer, and he is considering a move to another city, at least partly over concern about Beijing's air pollution.

A former McCann senior executive commented that Lin “is in TH Pang's camp of people, so I'm surprised it took so long for him to leave, as Canon Wu, Carol Lam, group creative director Mentz Shih, Pratik Thakar, Ame Tang and James Yang left almost in the same year as TH's leaving".

Contacted by Campaign Asia-Pacific via email Lin, said “We are not allowed to talk about this issue, whether it is true or not.” Sabrina Zhu, senior corporate communications manager of McCann China, denied that Lin had resigned.
