McCann's Sakura Irie to become regional social and media manager at YouTube

HONG KONG - Sakura Irie, senior strategic planner for McCann Worldgroup, will be moving to Google as Asia-Pacific media and social manager for YouTube.

Irie will be returning to Singapore to take up her new role in mid-September. 

Last October, Irie moved with McCann to Hong Kong to take up the post of senior strategic planner for Greater China. Prior to that she was based in Singapore working on the agency's accounts with Mastercard, Johnson & Johnson and Nescafe. 

Irie first joined McCann Japan in 2004 as a strategic planner. She speaks Japanese, English and French and is a graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science with a Masters degree in International Studies.
