Media Contacts' Dinesh Sandhu resigns to join Hakuhodo

SINGAPORE - Dinesh Sandhu has resigned from MediaContacts to join Hakuhodo Communications Asia as its regional media director for Southeast Asia.

Sandhu was appointed to the newly created role early this month to oversee the strategy, media and digital works for existing Hakuhodo clients.

He was most recently MediaContacts' business development director, ASEAN and country director, Malaysia.

During his two-year tenure at the agency he was involved in business wins for Schick, KLIA Express, Iskandar Development Region and Sime Darby Property in Malaysia, as well as Marie France Bodylinee and Eurokars Group – Porsche in Singapore.

Media Contacts, the digital media unit of Havas Digital, confirmed the move and said a press release on the replacement will be issued next week.

Sandhu was previously the new business and digital consultant at Metaversum, the market head at Starcom MediaVest Group and the business development director at Agenda/Wunderman.

He also worked with clients such as Cadbury Adams, Sony Malaysia, Coca-Cola Malaysia, Hong Leong Bank, ExxonMobil and Suria KLCC during his tenure at McCann Worldgroup Malaysia.
