This move, which follows Mediba's venture into Singapore in October and South Korea in February, is to strengthen overseas advertising and expansion in the smartphone market by collaborating with business partners.

Jun Kanbe, executive vice-president and COO at Mediba Inc, made the announcement during the Mobile Marketing Forum in Singapore yesterday (24 April).

According to the company website, the Vietnam office is scheduled for opening in June. It also recently appointed Otohiko Kozutsumi, formerly marketing manager at Nobot, as the representative office manager at Mediba Vietnam. Mediba acquired Nobot last year, forming a group company.

“Mediba has initiated early stage cooperation with influential business partners in various Asian countries in the advertising and content businesses, which we are currently expanding, as we aim to create Asia's largest network,” a news statement on the company website said.

The representative office in Bangkok, meanwhile, will be opened in July.
