Scheduled to launch in December, VivoCity Xi'an is positioned as a one-stop family lifestyle mall. It is also part of Mapletree's integrated luxurious residential and retail development called Future City.

Text 100 is charged to raise brand awareness of VivoCity within the business and social community in Xi'an. It is also responsible for the pre-opening communications development and sustainability afterwards.

"This is a significant win for Text 100 China as it demonstrates our capability to execute PR programs in fast growing provincial cities such as Xi'an," said TT Yang, managing director at Text 100 China.

Loh Shyh, China CEO for Mapletree, said: "This requires a creative PR agency that is able to employ multiple communications channels to create the excitement and awareness and drive home our messages."

The original VivoCity was established in 2006 in Singapore. It is one of the top ten Asian mega malls, according to Forbes Traveller. A second VivoCity is due to open soon in Nanhai in South China's Guangdong Province.
