Mindshare's Paul Lau heads to FansTang as new China president

BEIJING - FansTang has ushered in a celebrity of a different sort to its executive team, by hiring Paul Lau, a decorated digital business strategist, as the new president of its China operations.

In his new role, Lau will oversee the company’s content partnerships with brands and agencies, strategic business development and overall China operations.

Reporting directly to FansTang founder and CEO Adam Roseman, he will build upon FansTang's community of Hollywood fans with data capabilities to enhance its content portfolio.

Lau brings with him experience in client servicing, digital strategy, digital media sales and management from his previous role as partner and head of digital at Mindshare Beijing. Delving further into his career history, his work included managing NBA's China website and launching location-based service (LBS) mobile apps in Hong Kong.

FansTang, a wholly owned subsidiary of China Branding Group (CBG), is a producer and licensee of Hollywood content for the China market, such as interviews with leading celebrities Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears, Hugh Jackman and Jeremy Renner.

The company provides cross-platform content and related services including TV and online video programming, social-media content creation and curation, live event streaming, data analytics, and film development and marketing strategy.
