The network aims to help business leaders prepare for today's high risk and 'always-on' environment. With the platform, 'crisis experts' are able to leverage the network's crisis planning framework and simulation workshop to help clients plan for and respond to crisis situations effectively.

Pascal Beucler, MSL Group’s chief strategy officer commented that the network's objective is to be a one-stop shop to help guide companies and institutions.

To mark the launch, the team has also published its first report, an e-book titled When every crisis is global, social and viral. This explores how social media is changing trust, power, risk, and crisis issues for the world's organisations. It also outlines how corporations can leverage social media to manage risk and reputation, and provides tips and tricks on crisis management.
