MullenLowe Lintas group today appointed a new leadership team for its three agencies in India: Lowe Lintas, Mullen Lintas and PointNine Lintas.

Amer Jaleel, who joined Lowe Lintas in 2002, becomes group chairman and chief creative officer. He will be partnered on the business side by another longstanding staff member, Virat Tandon, who joined in 2004 and now becomes group CEO.

Arun Iyer, who was formerly chairman and CCO of Lowe Lintas, will become creative consultant for the agency for now, with a view to leaving in the next year to work in "the startup ecosystem", he said in a release.

Jaleel and Tandon have a history of working together: they were named chairman and CCO of Mullen Lintas when it was founded in 2015.

In a joint statement, the pair said: “We have a lot of strong assets in the group. Two top 10 agencies, Lowe Lintas and Mullen Lintas; a very promising incubation, the Omni-channel agency PointNine Lintas; some of the industry’s best and brightest creative, strategy and business leaders; and last but not the least a culture that makes us stick together and tick. The future is looking different and exciting.

"It’s becoming more challenging for brands to win in the marketplace as the consumer is evolving and most categories are being disrupted and transformed due to technology. Clients are looking for all the help they can get from their agencies to win in this new reality. We want to continue to be our clients’ biggest strength.”
