New Cambodia agency QED forms

Two independent PR and digital ‘sister agencies’ are merging in Phnom Penh.

New Cambodia agency QED forms

PR and communications agency Quantum Communications and digital agency Endorphine Concept are merging their operations. The combined agencies, which have been operating in Cambodia for five years or more, now employ 27 staff with more expected to be added.

The new name for the combined firm, Quantum Endorphine Digital, is a mouthful, but will use the acronym QED for short. The new agency will be headed up by CEO Julian Rake along with COO Adrienne Ravez and CCO Yohan Brizolier.

“We have been working as sister agencies for a few years now," Rake said in a release. "So it was the logical next step to fully merge our operations to offer our clients the complete package from making great videos, writing strong copy or originating digital content all the way through to delivering that content across traditional and digital channels in the most effective way."

The combined agency’s clients include Coca-Cola, Prudential, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Microsoft, SCG, Rinbee and Tiger Beer, along with local brands like Pi Pay and Smart Axiata.

Ravez explained the double entendre of the QED moniker. “Not only does it stand for Quantum Endorphine Digital, but QED is the shorthand version of a widely used Latin phrase quod erat demonstrandum, which means ‘what was to be shown or demonstrated’," Ravez said. "We believe that with our integrated services we will be able to show or demonstrate to our customers the benefits of using a top class integrated agency like QED.”

Ravez was recently named entrepreneur of the year at Campaign Asia's Women Leading Change Awards. Both firms have won recognition at Campaign's Agency of the Year awards, with Endorphine winning digital agency gold for Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar in 2015 and silver in 2016. Meanwhile, Quantum won bronze for Independent Agency of Year in the same region in 2015.
