Optimedia retains US$400 million Mengniu media account in China

CHINA - ZenithOptimedia's Optimedia has fended off Starcom and Carat to retain the Mengniu media account in China, Campaign Asia-Pacific has confirmed with the agencies involved.

The pitch, one of the biggest in China this year, is believed to be worth US$400 million.

"We have successfully defended three big piches, including Carlsberg, Mengniu and  Reckitt Benckiser (RB)," a source within ZenithOptimedia China told Campaign. "All th pitches happened in Q4."

Sources close to the pitch told Campaign that RB is ZenithOptimedia’s biggest account in Beijing. The agency has been working on the account for four years.
