Publicis Groupe has promoted Loris Nold, currently COO of its communications cluster for APAC, Middle East and Africa, to a newly created role as CEO of Publicis Groupe APAC.

Overseeing all of Publicis Groupe‘s operations in the region, his remit will focus on driving greater integration, transforming the group's relationships with existing clients, winning the trust of new clients and cultivating and attracting talent, according to the company.

Nold has been with Publicis since 2003. He became CEO for Publicis Communications in Asia-Pacific, Africa, Israel and Turkey in 2014 and rose to his COO role in 2016.

In addition, Publicis Groupe announced the following changes based on what it calls the "continuation of its transformation" under its Solution Hub concept and the implementation of a regional leadership model.

  • Alexandra von Plato, a member of Publicis Groupe’s Management Committee, becomes CEO at Publicis Health, responsible for 17 agency brands in 40 offices worldwide. Nick Colucci, who has been Publicis Health CEO since 2007, becomes chairman and will oversee a transition period until the end of the year.
  • Colucci also takes on the new role of COO of Publicis Communications North America, working with CEO Andrew Bruce. Bruce will expand his duties to take responsibility for the Publicis Groupe North America strategy and growth team, supervising the Groupe’s Global Client Leaders in the region and focusing on "transformative solutions" for the Groupe’s major clients.
  • Mark Tutssel, chief creative officer for Leo Burnett Worldwide, becomes executive chairman, as Rich Stoddart, currently president of Leo Burnett Worldwide, leaves "to pursue a new venture".

“As we continue on our journey to be the market leaders in marketing and business transformation, these appointments will allow Publicis Groupe to reinforce our global practices while further breaking down silos at country and regional level," said Publicis Groupe global chairman and CEO Arthur Sadoun. "This is a key priority for us in order to constantly build on the quality of the expertise we deliver to our clients in a seamless way."
