Steven Loong to head up brand planning and insights at Publicis Thailand

BANGKOK – Publicis Thailand has announced that Steven Loong will be taking on the role of head of planning and insights, capping a series of senior appointments.

"Strategic planning and increasingly, engagement planning lie at the very heart of successful marketing communications," commented Publicis CEO, Mark Ingrouille.

He added, "It was critical that we find the right person, who has a broad-based expertise, to head up these disciplines. Steven, with his colourful background and personality was the perfect fit to help us with our growing client portfolio."

Loong was previously head of strategic planning with McCann Worldgroup in Jakarta, prior to which he was planning director at Grey in Kuala Lumpur.

Commenting on his appointment, Loong said, "I am delighted to join Publicis Thailand and work closely with Mark. The company's pace of growth and new clients such as Siemens, Thanasiri and Microsoft make it all the more exciting for me."

Loong has several awards to his name for his work on GG Merah, L'Oreal and Tiger Beer.
