HONG KONG - Synovate has restructured its senior leadership team and operations to form a new Greater China business unit under the leadership of the newly appointed Eliza Wong as CEO.

"This region, which has been and will continue to be very important to Synovate and our clients, is seeing tremendous growth opportunities and evolving client structures. These changes allow us an even greater focus on and alignment with our clients' needs in these markets," said Robert Philpott, global CEO for Synovate.

Philpott said many of the company's clients are organised in this way, so it makes sense to mirror their structure.

"It also allows us to leverage the economies and benefits of scale as well as harness the collective capability and expertise we have in these markets," he added.

Wong (pictured) will oversee the existing leadership teams in the mainland as well as Hong Kong and Taiwan. She gained experience in managerial roles on both client and agency-side in Asia and North America before joining Synovate in 2005 as operations director. Prior to that, she worked for AC Nielsen and Environics West in both Hong Kong and Canada.

"Eliza has an unwavering energy and passion for them and our business. Her knowledge, leadership and relationships with clients all across our business make her the ideal choice to lead Synovate's next phase of growth here, and will take our client service and quality to even greater heights," said Philpott.
