Davidson will also head the company's efforts for the Southeast Asian market including India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Singapore. The office in Bangkok will be launched in a month's time.

Davidson was most recently the executive producer at Sudest Productions in Vietnam. She began her career at MTV before moving to television commercials. She also led the in-agency production company of McCann Worldgroup, One Six Six, creating work for the entire client roster of McCann Erickson Australia.

Paul Prince, CEO of The Sweet Shop, said, “Claire has a proven track record in the region and we're delighted she has joined our global executive team.”

Commenting on the appointment, George Mackenzie, managing director at The Sweet Shop, noted that Davidson’s experience in Vietnam and greater Southeast Asia represents an important addition to The Sweet Shop's management team.

“We have been lucky to enjoy great support from the Asian region and bringing Claire on as the local executive producer is recognition of that growing demand. It will enable us to better service an extremely important market,” he added.

Davidson said, “I have admired The Sweet Shop for many years. I have always had the utmost respect for their directors’ creative achievements. Bringing The Sweet Shop into the Southeast Asian market is a clever move. We will carve our own niche in the region, and in so doing extend the existing amount of high end productions that The Sweet Shop is known for around the world.”
