Tribal DDB Shanghai hires three senior creatives

SHANGHAI - Saying it is further strengthening its global creative hub in Shanghai, DDB has brought on three young creatives: Nic Brennan as group creative director, Trish Fan as senior art director and Avril Jin as senior copywriter.

All three will work on the McDonald’s account and across DDB Shanghai Group, reporting directly to Jimmy Lam, vice chairman and chief creative officer DDB Group North China, who came on board last summer.

Brennan has more than 15 years of digital creative experience working across international blue chip accounts such as Adidas, Audi, BMW, Intel, Coca-Cola, Volkswagen and Johnson & Johnson.

He has held roles as creative director at various agencies in London, Japan and Singapore.

Fan, a graduate of the School of Visual Art in New York, has worked in both Taiwan and China and gained 12 years of digital marketing and graphic design experience, including spending five years in MTV.com supervising website content and animations. She also worked on clients such as Unilever, Lufthansa, Shu Uemura and Nike and has extensive knowledge of digital planning and Flash animation, the company said.

Jin has a creative background in both the digital field as well as above the line for more than six years. She has worked on clients such as Unilever, Nike, Tencent, Nokia, Nissan and Johnnie Walker. She has won numerous digital awards, including the Best Branded Content Marketing Award for Lipton tea and Gold and Silver Awards for Tencent Intelligent Marketing awards.
