Y&R Singapore hires James Procter as chief creative officer

SINGAPORE - James Procter (pictured), ECD at George Patterson Y&R's Sydney office, will take on the role of chief creative officer of Y&R Singapore.

Y&R Singapore hires James Procter as chief creative officer
Procter will replace Patrick Low, who left Y&R in July after a 22-year stint.

Y&R Singapore is one of Y&R’s top offices globally and functions as a hub for Asia.

Procter will work with group CEO Tanuj Philip and chief creative officer of Y&R Asia, Marcus Rebeschini.

Philip said: “It’s important for me to have a partner with a strong presence that I know the agency will look up to and respect. James’ proven track record with clients tells me that his leadership will enable us to raise the bar on the creative solutions we provide our clientele.”

Procter has worked on a diverse range of major local and international clients including LG, Pepsi, adidas, Virgin Atlantic, Nestle, Just Jeans, Holden, AXA and Kraft. He has received awards at shows including D&AD, Cannes Lions and One Show.

On his new role, Procter said: “I’ve always wanted to work in Asia and getting to do so at Y&R Singapore with someone like Tanuj was just too good to pass up. It’s a really interesting time in the region and I’ll be working hard with Marcus and Tony [Granger, global chief creative officer of Y&R] to ensure Y&R Singapore is well positioned to be doing killer work for our clients.”

“Singapore represents our hub in Asia and it’s an extremely important market for Y&R," added Granger. "It’s important to honour the tradition and heritage of Y&R, while bringing in fresh energy and creative leadership."
