Deliveroo simplifies dinner, one dollar at a time

Finally, a delivery service that understands that ordering food shouldn't require a degree in advanced couponing.

Ad Nut's brain is fried. Too many choices. Mixed nuts? Overrated. Ten types in one can? Just hand over the cashews already. Thankfully, Deliveroo gets it. Its new 'No Need to Think' campaign is a siren song to this overwhelmed squirrel.

Deciphering those cryptic delivery deals are enough to make Ad Nut chuck its phone into the nearest salad. Ad Nut thinks ordering dinner shouldn't require a PhD in promotional calculus. Deliveroo's solution? A blessedly simple SG$1 delivery fee between 5pm and 9pm, starting October 15th, across Singapore. The 30-second spot, produced by creative arm VCCP Singapore, is simple, transparent and exactly what Ad Nut (and probably you) need.

“We are thrilled to champion simplicity with this $1 delivery offer that all our customers can enjoy," said Minjoo Lee, head of marketing at Deliveroo Singapore. “With this, we want to ensure that we do not just deliver food. Instead, we deliver convenience through our transparent offers, whether it’s for food or groceries, right to your doorsteps.” (Preach.)

Agree. Who needs promotions so complicated they require a spreadsheet?

VCCP’s creative director, Soleil Badenhop, adds, "As creatives, we’re not really fans of maths. But we are fans of food delivery, especially during dinner. We instantly loved the simplicity of Deliveroo’s offer—sometimes math just complicates our lives." Truth.

Now, if only someone could simplify Ad Nut's mixed-nut situation… sigh.

Ad Nut is a surprisingly literate woodland creature that for unknown reasons has an unhealthy obsession with advertising. Ad Nut gathers ads from all over Asia and the world for your viewing pleasure, because Ad Nut loves you.
