KFC creates mini restaurant in US city of Portland

The chicken restaurant that never seems to run out of big ideas for stunts grabs onto the small-food trend in its latest headline-grabbing initiative.

Here's another one to add to KFC's long list of interesting one-off projects that aim to generate free advertising (and usully succeed): A tiny restaurant in the US city of Portland, Oregon, that served up actual fried chicken—with mashed potatoes, a Dr Pepper and a chocolate-chip cookie.

The video above is by Wieden+Kennedy Portland. The store was only open for one day, Saturday.

Here's proof that it was real, in this on-the-spot video from The Oregonian:

When it comes to KFC, there's a real sense of expectation in the question 'What will they think of next?'. Ad Nut digs the realistic restaurant, complete with miniature parking lot and landscaping. But that serving of KFC is too small. Ad Nut's cheeks can hold a lot more chicken.
