McDonald’s launches Monopoly Millionaire promotion in Australia and New Zealand

AUCKLAND - DDB New Zealand has created a TVC for the launch of the McDonald’s Monopoly Millionaire promotion across Australia and New Zealand.

wide player in 16:9 format. Used on article page for Campaign.

The TV spots introduce elements from the Monopoly board game into the real world on a giant scale, from hotel pieces on city streets, to oversized dice rolling through suburban neighbourhoods and giving out free parking across the city.

The 50-second and 30-second TVCs are currently running until the end of this week. It's supported by two 15-second animated TVCs that highlight the prizes up for grabs and will continue to run until the promotion finishes on 12 March. The spots also include a 15-second breakfast spot and a 30-second live action and animation cut-down.

The campaign is also supported by radio and an extensive outdoor campaign, including ambient hotel-shaped bus shelters. In addition, McDonald’s accepted Monopoly money in-store on the first day of the promotion, to encourage the young at heart to "play with their food".
