Times of India makes space for 'Out & Proud' announcements

Paper confronts lack of acceptance for LGBTQ people using an old format: The classified ad.

In a week where much has been made about a subtle representation of a gay relationship, here's a simple and great idea about absolutely straightforward representation, from the Times of India and FCB India: Free classified listings for people who are 'Out and Proud".

Here's Sanjeev Bhargava, director of brand, Times of India:

At TOI, we believe in celebrating the differences in an inclusive society. The LGBTQ community has always had a place in our hearts, now they also have a special place in our paper."
