Audi Singapore to review creative

SINGAPORE - Audi is putting its creative account up for review in Singapore, putting incumbent Batey on alert.

Audi Singapore to review creative
The German carmaker has been working with the WPP firm as its agency-of-record for the past 12 months.

A statement from Sharon Tng, PR and communications manager for Audi, read: “It is our company policy to review our strategic partnerships at regular intervals to ensure that our campaigns remain effective and creative. Now, one year on, it’s a good time to take stock, look back at what we’ve achieved and put down our plans for the future.”

She added: “We will be opening up the account for pitch and several agencies will be invited to pitch. Further information on the final selection will be made in January 2009.”

One source suggested Audi was looking to set up its own in-house advertising unit, but this claim was denied by Tng.
