Bata's 'Try and Fly' campaign promises to take customers' feet on a European adventure

By simply trying on shoes from the brand's new 9 to 9 collection at Bata’s outlets in India, potential buyers have a chance to win a trip to various destinations.

Aware that the summer holiday season is fuelled by a surge in demand for travel, Bata India has unveiled its 9 to 9 collection, which amalgamates Europe-inspired fashion with comfort. To coincide with this launch, it has introduced the ‘Try and Fly’ offer, in association with EaseMyTrip.com. The campaign will run across Bata stores pan-India and ends on June 20.

Speaking on the campaign, Badri Beriwal, chief strategy and business development officer of Bata India, said, “This holiday season, we have packed our latest collection with the ‘Try and Fly’ offering. We are confident that our customers are going to be delighted by the launch of the latest Europe inspired styles at our stores and on Bata.com. With this proposition, we want to give everyone a chance to fly to their dream destination.”

Customers can walk in to any Bata outlet, try on the 9 to 9 collection, and scan the QR code to enter the contest. Every week, lucky winners can bag an all-expense paid trip to Goa, while bumper prize winners stand a chance to win an all-expense paid trip to leading international holiday destinations in Europe.

Nishant Pitti, CEO and co-founder EaseMyTrip added, “Travel is about experiences, and this campaign brings the joy of exploration right to the store.  This partnership brings together the joy of trying on stylish footwear and the thrill of winning international trips.”

Campaign’s take: Bata is flipping the script with its latest campaign. Instead of pushing products, the footwear company is inviting customers to experience its new 9 to 9 collection firsthand, right in the store. It's a bold move, sending a clear message: they're so confident in this line that once you try it, you'll want to take it home.

And those prizes? Talk about perfect timing! Offering trips to Europe as rewards couldn't be better, especially since June to September is prime time for exploring the region. But when it comes to Goa, well, that's a different story. While it's a dream destination for many, the monsoon months leave it a bit deserted. Timing is everything, after all.
