BBDO Taiwan scoops Kymco new G5 motorscooter creative account

TAIPEI - BBDO Taiwan has won the creative business for Kymco's new G5 motorscooter, beating JWT and Bates141 in a competitive pitch.

According to Eddy Fu, CEO of BBDO Taiwan, Kymco is the largest motorcycle brand in Taiwan and a major media spender.

Kymco, the trade name for the Kwang Yang Motor Co Ltd, was founded in 1963 and has since become the largest scooter manufacturer in Taiwan. It is also the 5th largest manufacturer worldwide.

According to the company's website, Kymco products include 50cc, 100cc and 125cc series of scooter models.

Kymco is ranked 459 in Media's Top 1000 Asia-Pacific Brands 2010, jumping from 504 in the previous year.
