PHD was already doing business in Indonesia, but the appointment of Basra as CEO signals its official launch in the market.

Basra has more than 14 years of strategic media planning and buying experience in Asia-Pacific. He joins from OMG full-service agency M2M Interface Indonesia, where he was the technical advisor and managing director.

Barry Cupples, CEO of OMG Asia-Pacific, said Indonesia is a market of “prime importance” to OMG.

“PHD’s presence in Indonesia is a significant development for the network,” he said. “Rajat’s appointment will act as a catalyst to ensure that we have a strong PHD offering in addition to a robust OMD set-up.”

Cheuk Chiang, CEO of PHD Asia-Pacific, highlighted that MNCs are rethinking their consumer engagement strategies in Indonesia as the market will fuel a huge amount of growth in Asia.

He added, “PHD has a strong offering in Indonesia and we have invested in the best people and resources to ensure that we offer maximum value to our clients.”
