Cheil hires Greater China industry heavyweight Pully Chau

Chau started work on 16 October and is reporting to Aaron Lau, international president at Cheil Worldwide and CEO and president of Cheil Greater China.

"We had ongoing conversations for a couple of years, as I have known Aaron Lau and Dr. Nam [Cheil PengTai CEO] for over a decade," Chau told Campaign Asia-Pacific of her hiring process. "They led me to further discussions with Mr Michael Kim [global COO at Cheil Worldwide]."

She has carved out a career spanning 30 years in the Greater China region where her most recent roles were Greater China chairman and CEO at FCB, and China CEO at Saatchi & Saatchi.

"I genuinely respect what Cheil has been doing, how the company invested in the best creative talents, digital, retail, IMC, innovation, consulting, and now media," she pointed out, adding that it is her "unfulfilled dream" to be able to help lead an organisation that "truly has multiple capabilities under one roof".
