Optimedia will take on the media planning and buying duties for watch retailer City Chain, which has over 200 outlets across the Far East and Southeast Asia. Similarly, Hong Kong-based optical retail network Optical 88 has more than 200 shops across Macau, Guangzhou, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.

It is believed that the incumbent for both accounts is Maxus.

“Both City Chain and Optical 88 were keen to partner with Optimedia due to our strategic approach to their business,” Wong Pi Yee, managing director of Optimedia Malaysia, commented. “We’re looking forward to contributing to both organisations’ future success by driving greater returns for their marketing and media investments.”
