Dentsu Media wins major pharma account in Indonesia

JAKARTA – Dentsu Media Indonesia has been appointed to handle media planning and buying duties worth around US$23 million for Tempo Scan Pacific (TSP), a major Indonesian pharmaceutical group.

TSP’s business is divided into three main categories, including pharmaceutical, personal care and cosmetics, as well as distribution services. Proprietary over-the-counter (OTC) brands include Brodex, Brodexin, Contrex, Contrexyn and Hermaviton.

Around 20 per cent of OTC revenue is channeled into advertising and promotional activities. The company also licences imported brands such as Levron and Clinique.

The appointment is effective as of this month. Earlier this year, Dentsu Media Indonesia won media duties for Japanese seasoning company Ajinomoto.
