Essence takes over Maxus in Korea

The move is part of GroupM’s global reorganisation.

Maxus Korea will be folded into Essence as part of GroupM’s global restructuring following the merger of MEC and Maxus in other markets.

By the end of the year, Essence will take over all Maxus’ clients and its 15-person team. Campaign Asia-Pacific has been told there will be no redundancies.

Jay Lee will continue as business director at Essence Korea, as he currently is at Maxus, from 1 January.   

“Jay has done an impeccable job managing client business in Korea,” said Christian Juhl, global CEO of Essence. “He shares Essence's values for putting data at the centre of everything we do for clients in order to offer ultimate accountability."

Kyoko Matsushita, APAC CEO at Essence, said: “This furthers our localisation to best serve advertisers seeking brand growth with Asian consumers."
