Mathews will take over as managing director at Fulford PR, assuming leadership from Eileen A Chua and Ronda Ng Doswell. Fulford PR restructured its management ranks last year, following founder and managing director Linda Fulford’s decision to take up a new role with parent agency BrandRapport at its UK headquarters in London.

The agency’s day-to-day operations were then headed jointly by directors Chua and Doswell, but the duo resigned last year.

As the managing director, Mathews will be tasked to manage and develop the business in Singapore, and work closely with the offiices in Hong Kong and the UK to further integrate the agency’s core offerings and expertise.

She brings with her a team specialising in F&B, lifestyle, luxury and corporate PR. All Chrysler employees have been transferred to Fulford PR, giving it a total of 21 full-time staff.

Chrysler Communications has worked with clients such as publicly listed service and virtual office provider Servcorp, as well as F&B operators like Bistecca Tuscan Steakhouse and Fine Palate Catering & Café.

Mathews noted that new developments are already in the works to further enhance and augment the agency’s core offerings, whcih will be announced in due course.

Ross Collett, head of Asia for BrandRapport, said Singapore is a highly important strategic market for the firm, as both an economic and cultural centre in its own right, as well as a gateway to Southeast Asia that presents a wealth of business opportunities.

"With both our roster of great clients that are in mutually complimentary industries, we believe we are in a good position to enhance our service offerings at a more strategic level," he told Campaign Asia-Pacific, adding that Mathews has extensive experience in the corporate and consumer PR space in Singapore, Bahrain and Australia.

Having operated in the country for 13 years, Fulford PR’s services covers a wide range of sports, consumer and corporate clients. It has worked with sports clients such as the inaugural Formula 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix and Singapore Sports Hub, with longstanding clients such as the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore and the FINA/Arena Swimming World Cup.

Its consumer and corporate clients, meanwhile, include fine spirits distributor Beam Global Asia, Base Entertainment, Lee Hwa Jewellery, Nike and the Workforce Development Agency.

Fulford PR was acquired by London-based Ingenious Media Group, with offices in the UK and Hong Kong, in 2010 and it is operating under the brandRapport banner.
