Grey appoints Vijay Jacob as VP and head of South India

MUMBAI - Grey has appointed Vijay Jacob (pictured) as vice-president and head of South India.

Jacob will be based in the agency's Bangalore office and will be responsible for both Bangalore and Chennai operations.

Jacob previously worked with Bates141 Chennai, where he was the senior VP and head of South.

Jacob has also had stints with Mudra Communications and Grey Worlwide. Prior to this he worked with Eveready Industries and Bazee.com (eBay).

Jacob said he was excited to be back with Grey. "I look forward to partnering a very talented team in creating powerful brand ideas.”

Vijay will report to Jishnu Sen, chief operating officer, Grey India.

Sen said Vijay would boost "Grey's plans of integrated communication solutions" and would "help in building and expanding our presence in the South market".

Jishnu Sen tookn on the role of chief operating officer of Grey India in February this year.
