The agency is tasked with managing the client’s corporate communications and media relations in the market on a retainer basis. The initial focus is to support efforts in raising awareness of the brand among people and organisations in Singapore looking to buy and rent property.

The incumbent is believed to be Fulford PR.

The brand plans to make several improvements and changes to the portal, aimed at further developing its proposition to consumers and agents. It recently hired Sean Tan as general manager of Singapore, to strengthen iProperty.com’s role as a platform for marketers to reach consumers

Tan was most recently with InSing.com and previously Yahoo.

“We have big plans to grow in the coming years and we need a solid PR partner who can support this,” Tan said. “Rice Communications is a good fit for us. The team is very experienced, they have a strong digital portfolio of clients and they’ve tailored a programme that’s aligned with where iProperty.com is heading. This will serve us well as we grow.”

iProperty Group operates sites under the iProperty.com brand name in Malaysia, Singapore, India and the Philippines as well as GoHome.com.hk in Hong Kong and Rumah123.com in Indonesia. The headquarters are in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Sonya Madeira, managing partner at Rice Communications, meanwhile added, “Property is of relevance and interest to everyone - even people who aren’t looking to move house take a keen interest in what’s happening in the sector. iProperty.com is in a leading position in Singapore and we’ll see that strengthen further as its proposition to consumers, agents and marketers develops over time.”
