Ambient Advertising, an independent communications company which was established in Vietnam this year, works with a mix of local and international clients and agencies like Zenith Optimedia and Dentsu.

It provides solutions for both online media executions, including ad networks, search engine marketing, social networking and single site execution, and out of home (OOH) advertising, including planning, buying, auditing and monitoring.

According to a company statement, the agency has plans to expand across the region and other emerging markets next year.

Stephens (pictured) joined Ambient Advertising this summer and has seen the agency's headcount double from eight to 20.

“The Vietnam market is growing very rapidly with double-digit YOY growth, and internet penetration has now hit 29.5 per cent, in line with the urbanisation of Vietnam,” said Stephens.

He added that TV still has a massive foothold in Vietnam. "Our biggest challenge is getting people to think outside the non-traditional media for their marketing strategies.”

Prior to Kinetic, Stephens also worked at News Outdoor under Newscorp in Vietnam and Bangkok.
