In India, MullenLowe Lintas Group announced two promotions at flagship agency Lowe Lintas: Arun Iyer will be chairman and chief creative officer and Raj Gupta will be CEO, effective April 1.

Iyer is currently chief creative officer and Gupta is currently president and Mumbai office head.

Joseph George, group chairman and CEO of MullenLowe Lintas Group, said in a statement that the time is right to build on the agency's momentum, but to do so "a dedicated and fully empowered leadership" is needed. Iyer and Gupta are "best placed in experience, expertise and energy" to fulfil the agency's ambitions, he added.

MullenLowe Lintas Group has eight agencies: creative agencies Lowe Lintas and Mullen Lintas, plus another six agencies offering PR, digital, activation, design, consulting and video content.

The appointments complete a foursome of homegrown talents leading the two creative agencies; Amer Jaleel and Virat Tandon have led Mullen Lintas as chairman and CCO and CEO, respectively, since 2015.

Iyer has been with the group for 15 years and Gupta for more than 25. Iyer was appointed national creative director in 2010 and chief creative officer in 2016. Gupta has held positions in media, digital, strategic planning, channel planning, business development and account management.
