Lowe Thailand appoints Eric Yeo as CCO

BANGKOK - Lowe Thailand has appointed Eric Yeo (pictured) as chief creative officer, replacing Pom Chaiyaporn who left to focus on social and good cause projects.

Lowe Thailand appoints Eric Yeo as CCO

Yeo is currently the group ECD at Ogilvy Philippines. The appointment, effective next month, will see Yeo overseeing clients including Krunsgri, Cerebos, BJC, UL and Mercedes Benz while leading a team of 15 creative. He will also have creative leadership for Lowe’s brand engagement and digital division, Open.

“Eric was a key target of mine from the start, and securing him is fantastic,” said Jeremy Hine, CEO at Lowe Thailand. “He likes to be involved with his teams and is very much a perfectionist. He has a great track record, brings real insight into Asian culture and has an international outlook and sensibility—very important at Lowe.”

Rupen Desai, president of Lowe Asia Pacific, noted that Yeo will work alongside Hine in driving Lowe Thailand to the next level.

With more than 17 years of agency experience, Yeo started his career at TBWA and has worked in senior roles at Leo Burnett and DraftFCB. He was appointed as the group executive creative director of Ogilvy & Mather Philippines last year. He was previously a creative director with Ogilvy Singapore.

Yeo has won local and international awards including Cannes Lions, The One Show, Clios and Spikes. He was awarded a second D&AD Yellow Pencil recently for his work for Lego.

“I see a place to explore new possibilities,” Yeo said. “As creatives we need to constantly invent, and we need a place that allows us to experiment. And Lowe is such a place. This is the beginning of an exciting journey.”
