M&C Saatchi confirmed the win came after a competitive pitch. However, it declined to say who the other participants were.

The scope of work for 2013 covers a brand and recruitment campaign on TV and print, online and social-media engagement, events and related collaterals.

M&C Saatchi said that there is a significant gap between the demand and supply for such professionals. The situation is critical given the growing population of aging people in the region, it added.

The campaign, which rolls out in the first quarter of 2013, hopes to target students.

"M&C Saatchi is excited at the opportunity to once again contribute to a nationally significant initiative and look forward to rolling out a campaign that will give people a refreshing perspective that challenges traditional perceptions about nursing and allied health professionals," said Tanuj Philip, CEO of M&C Saatchi Singapore.
