Mindshare has promoted Prashant Modi to regional chief operating officer, effectively immediately. The former APAC chief commercial officer will now take up a broader role in managing the Singapore hub and working on larger agency strategies.

The COO role was last held by Gowthaman Ragothaman, before he moved on to global chief strategy officer for Mindshare’s FAST programmatic offering in May 2017 and new subsequent roles with GroupM and WPP.

Modi has been with Mindshare and GroupM for the past 16 years in both India and Singapore and is credited within the agency for being a key driver of consistent delivery.

“There are few people who care about our people and our company as much as Prashant,” Mindshare’s APAC CEO, Amrita Randhawa, said in a release. “He is the beating heart of Mindshare and one of our absolutely finest minds. I am delighted that this role is going to give him the canvas he deserves to make an even bigger impact on our organization and on our people.”

Mindshare also officially announced that Rohan Lightfoot will assume the title of APAC chief growth officer. Lightfoot recently moved to Mindshare from Isobar, where he was Asia-Pacific managing director. He takes over as CGO from Kevin Rooney, who became Mindshare’s Japan and Korea CEO in August.

Lightfoot has more than 20 years of experience in the region, including Singapore and China. Randhawa noted Lightfoot is “uniquely placed” given his time in China with “with a blend of creative, media and digital craft experience” on large accounts. “Rohan’s been on my must-hire list for years!” she said in a release.

Both roles are based in Singapore.
