NBA, Now TV enters multi-year contract for 2011/12 season

HONG KONG - The National Basketball Association (NBA) has entered into a multi-year contract with Now TV for coverage of the 2011/12 season.

PCCW’s Now TV will air NBA games through the Now Sports channel with each NBA season consisting of 350 live games. The content rights also include daily coverage of regular season games, All Star Weekend, full coverage of both Conference Finals and the NBA Finals, NBA Classic Games and support programs such as Real NBA and NBA Action.

Starting in October, PCCW will also launch NBA games online through mobile and the portable media player Eye service.

"The various delivery channels and value-added features made possible by this partnership will allow NBA fans to follow the season like never before,” said Scott Levy, senior vice-president and managing director of NBA Asia.

Janice Lee, executive VP of TV and new media at PCCW, commented, “Now TV has become the pay-TV of choice for basketball enthusiasts. With Yao Ming back in action again, the coming few seasons of NBA will definitely be more exciting to the fans in Hong Kong.”
