Peroni shortlists four agencies in global creative review

The incumbent is Trouble Maker.

Peroni Nastro Azzurro has shortlisted four agencies in its search for a global creative agency.

In a pitch supported by AAR, the Asahi Breweries-owned beer brand has shortlisted Accenture Song, McCann London and Uncommon Creative Studio, alongside incumbent Trouble Maker.

Trouble Maker has managed Peroni’s creative account since 2020, which was the start-up’s first client. The agency has created work for Peroni such as “Live every moment, all year round”, which was the brand’s first global winter campaign when it launched last year.

Campaign first reported on Peroni’s account review in March, outlining at the time that the Japanese brewing giant Asahi Europe and International was in talks with creative agencies.

The brand then confirmed last month that the review process had started, and that it would not affect any of the brands in the wider Asahi portfolio or any existing agency relationships across local markets.

AAR and McCann London declined to comment, while Accenture Song, Uncommon, Trouble Maker and Asahi Breweries did not respond to Campaign’s request for comment.

Asahi UK picked The Corner as its lead creative agency of record in January following a competitive pitch. The appointment saw the brand consolidate the UK creative accounts for all of its brands under one agency.
