Pfizer awards Wunderman World Health its Caltrate and Centrium digital accounts in China

SHANGHAI - The Wunderman World Health team outperformed three undisclosed agencies in Pfizer's digital pitch to scoop the digital consumer engagement for Caltrate and Centrum in China. The pitch took place in Shanghai during February this year.

This is the first assignment win for Wunderman World Health, a newly formed global health initiative that unifies Wunderman’s diverse health care resources under a single brand. The initiative launched this month.

Wunderman will partner with its sister agency Agenda to work on all social media and electronic public relations for the calcium and vitamin supplement brands.

The win coincides Pfizer Consumer Healthcare China's commitment to increase its reach through digital and social media channels.

"As urban Chinese become more prosperous, they are looking for ways to stay healthy for themselves and their children." said Bryce Whitwam, GM of Wunderman in Shanghai. "Caltrate and Centrum are in the perfect position to take advantage of this opportunity."

Centrum is a strong MNC player in the market with very little competition in the vitamin supplement category whereas Caltrate has many local calcium counterparts in China.

Matt Connor, recently appointed regional director, leads the development of Wunderman World Health across Asia.

In a seperate development, Wunderman Beijing hired Narelle Hicks as MD last month.
