Racepoint Group expands into Asia with China acquisition

BEIJING - Racepoint Group, a global public relations agency, has acquired PPR Greater China, launching a foray into the Asia-Pacific region.

Following the acquisition, PPR Greater China becomes Racepoint Group Asia with headquarters in Hong Kong and other offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Singapore.

Tony Turner, former managing director of PPR Greater China, is now chairman of Racepoint Group Asia, and Andrew Laxton, former director of PPR Greater China, is now managing director.

"We are very excited about PPR Greater China becoming a part of Racepoint Group," said Larry Weber, chairman, Racepoint Group. "With half the world's population and some of the fastest growing economies in Asia, it is important for Racepoint to have a strong presence in the region."

Founded in 2001, PPR Greater China has been working with major brands such as Crocs, New Balance, Philips and Symantec.
