The multi-platform, branded content reality TV programme features 12 aspiring models from around the region going head-to-head through a series of physically and mentally grueling challenges.

The winner was decided at a closed door season finale in Singapore, for which all audience members had to sign a non-disclosure agreement. She gets a grand cash prize of $20,000, doubled from last season, along with attractive prizes from key sponsors. She will also make the cover of a local leading fashion magazine.

Supermodelme season two will debut on KIX - a subscription-based TV channel available on StarHub in Singapore. Refinery Media has a partnership with KIX’s operator, Tiger Gate Entertainment, the Asian arm of Lionsgate studios.

William Pfeiffer, CEO of Tiger Gate Entertainment, said, “When Tiger Gate was looking for a content partner in Asia, it was always our intention to develop closer ties with Singapore - to encourage locally conceived and produced content”.

He concluded, “The long-term goal of the collaboration (with Refinery Media) is to further develop and produce unique made-in-Asia formats for distribution throughout the region and the rest of the world."
