SapientNitro launches gifting campaign for Ferrero Rocher

SHANGHAI - SapientNitro has launched Ferrero China's new integrated one-stop website featuring a customised, experiential gifting campaign in time for Christmas.

SapientNitro launches gifting campaign for Ferrero Rocher

The campaign on Ferrero Rocher’s new official Chinese website allows online visitors to personalise and send a virtual Christmas greeting card by email, share it on social media sites, or have it printed. It features Ferrero’s advertising message: 'Light up the golden moment and cherish this special occasion.'

To enrich the gifting experience, participants who do that could win a premium Ferrero Christmas box set delivered to their doorsteps by a Ferrero ambassador (from a mystery cast of local celebrities and models).

The work is SapientNitro's first for the brand after being appointed interactive agency of record (iAOR) in October. The scope of work includes digital strategy, website creative, social-media management, word-of-mouth marketing, e-commerce, point-of-sales, and packaging.

SapientNitro integrated and redesigned the back end of Ferrero’s entire digital ecosystem into one platform—serving all its branding, Weibo, and e-commerce needs.

The agency was selected based on its 10 years of experience in the chocolate product category, with previous clients such as Dove and Mars, as well as its multi-channel capabilities in China and its ability to deliver creativity and insight-led thinking, according to Tony Zhang, marketing director of Ferrero Rocher China.
