Singapore Sports Council hands branding business for SSI to Futurebrand

SINGAPORE - Singapore Sports Council (SSC), a government body tasked with developing sports in Singapore, has handed its branding brief for the Singapore Sports Institute (SSI) to Futurebrand following a tender process that involved multiple agencies.

The SSC was seeking a brand specialist to undertake the development of the SSI brand. The agencies were asked to gain an understanding of the SSC’s expectations of the SSI and review and establish the brand's position by benchmarking it against competing sports institutes from around the world

Last year in June, SSC consolidated a large part of its creative business with Leo Burnett following a multi-agency pitch.

SSC was previously working with various creative agencies on an ad hoc basis. Leo Burnett’s appointment marked the first time that SSC has awarded a one-year contract to a creative agency.
