Trading places in Greater China: Sciole, Liang, Sastre, Tsui, Ngan, Khor

Here is a roundup of recent people moves in advertising, marketing, media and digital in Greater China that have not already been reported by Campaign. Please let us know if we missed anyone.

After more than two years at TBWA Hakuhodo as managing director leading the agency and its key clients including Infiniti, Dean Sciole (pictured) has chosen to service another car brand: Cadillac. As marketing director, he oversees branding, events and digital communications for Cadillac’s ATSL, CTS, XTS, Escalade and the newly launched CT6. Sciole's departure from TBWA Hakuhodo is the second after CEO Paul Lee. 

Hill+Knowlton Strategies has announced the creation of a new position, China CEO, and has hired QC Liang (梁启春) to fill it. Liang brings more than 25 years of communications experience to H+K. He arrives from TCL Corporation in Shenzhen, where he spent nine years and was most recently assistant president and general manager of branding.

Aitor Garcia Sastre is promoted to vice president of global digital marketing and omnichannel at DFS Group. He earned his new title after more than three years of being the director of global digital marketing and e-commerce at the LVMH-owned group. He was brought on board from Google in September 2012.

To ramp up its social-commerce offering, DDB has hired Mirum's ex-GM Leo Tsui (崔寶文in a dual role: head of Tribal Hong Kong and head of digital at DDB Hong Kong. Reporting to Carol Lam, chief creative officer and managing director for the agency, Tsui will also tap into Tribal’s pool of 35 technologists.

Chris Ngan, after working at Yahoo Hong Kong in various ad-sales positions for more than eight years, has pursued a new role as regional sales director for Oracle Marketing Cloud. He holds a bachelor's in Business Administration in Marketing from HKUST and an MBA from the University of Northern Iowa.

Carat China has promoted WeiChong Khor (许炜崇) to head of digital futures from group digital director, saying this underlines the agency's commitment to being a "data-led audience agency" in China. With a background ranging across Silicon Valley, Singapore and Shanghai, Khor used to serve in Brandtology and Razorfish.

PHD China has appointed Ge Yun (葛芸) as head of innovation and content, a newly-created position with a focus on branded content and partnerships. She joins the agency from Carat China where she held the role of general manager, leading key accounts including Mondelez. 

Publicis Shanghai appointed Emen Chong (张仪敏) as regional business director and Herbert Law (罗颂铿) as business director. Chong and Law will respectively lead account management on the agency’s P&G Oral Care and Heineken accounts, which Publicis recently added to its client roster. Both based in Shanghai, Chong reports directly to David Gompel, CEO of Publicis Greater China, while Law reports to Chenghua Yang, CEO of Publicis Shanghai.
